Madalyn Elder is a Homegrown Beauty!
They drove 2.5 hours for this session and not a grumble. Not from sis and not from Miss Madalyn. In fact, she told me how beautiful the drive had been. "Oh, you know we drove mostly back roads and it was actually pretty peaceful." She grinned. I was floored by the positivity and thankfulness. We chose a golden hour session for the last beautiful rays of sunshine for this Senior Introduction so as time was quickly leaving there was brief moments between shots to chat about cheer, softball, the upcoming first day of school and how my hometown had changed since my graduation, almost twenty years ago. "This is fun." She exclaimed as I directed another pose position. She didn't bat an eye or skip a beat when I asked her to slip her shoes off to walk in the wildflower garden barefoot. I soon discovered how much Madalyn loved the outdoors.
Her session took on a whimsical almost "Twilight" theme and we all joked about glittery vampires lurking about in the edge of the woods. She told me all about spending time outdoors with her family and how she would miss being on the lake once the summer was completely over. "I'll miss my family & my friends." She echoed Chloe and Zoey. "But I plan on coming home often while at college." My favorite shot is the one to the right here. Capturing that smile was the best moment of the evening and as a photographer those are the moments I enjoy the most during portrait sessions.
Here's to a full year with joy and excitement! I hope you soak it up. I hope you get into the college you will most thrive in and that you always keep your roots close! I am so thrilled about my Senior Reps this year and am so excited to start our full sessions soon! I have a few more introductions and then we get to get creative ladies!
