Zoey Johnson Girl Next Door...
Climbing out of a big truck with her heels in one hand and her senior jacket draped over the opposite shoulder Zoey Johnson warmly joked with her mother and father about having her portraits done. "I'm the model today." she tells them. Lighthearted and sweet she said "Hiya" and introduced her parents to me. Three snaps later I'm catching a giant belly laugh and several candid smiles as she and her sister throw playful insults back and forth. This girl has a great sense of humor. We move easily around the lake and try to dodge the mosquitoes attacking our skin. "Opmff, there's one on your leg sweetie." Her mother says and Zoey apologizes for leaving a pose to swat the annoying bug away. Our conversation is flowing from band to classes and senior events happening soon. You can tell this lady loves her family fiercely. She has a knack of where to look for the camera and asks "Am I doing this right?" Zoey wants to work in the medical field and is excited to start as soon as possible. Her excitement is contagious.
As we trekked around the lake Zoey told me about how she plans on hanging out with her friends as much as possible and trying to be in the moment of each event, the last first football game, the last first day of high school, the last band competition and the last school dance. She told me about CVTech and the program she's started there to get a jump start on serving others through a career in medicine. Zoey is one who smiles easy and all the way up to her eyes. She's dedicated in figuring this future thing out and doesn't mind a little extra work. Zoey has grit. This young lady is laser focused and I believe she'll finish what she starts!
